The Gardens at Refuge

Hotel Refuge is a boutique hotel in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. The hotel itself tells a story and embraces a progressive mindset while paying homage to their origin. They hold space for others doing similar, but different things with each popup they host.

I have had the privelage of designing and maintaining their garden and floral program these last few years. What a treat it has been! From passerby pedestrians to hotel guests to the incredible staff, I have been blessed by each visit.

The garden itself has been an evolution of plantings. What first began with an annual pollinator garden grown from seed is now a mature exhibit of edible and herbal perennials. Of course I’ve made way for certain annuals to spring up throughout the season. Pictured are some of the moments captured here over the years.

Make sure to stop by Hotel Refuge where you can sip libations at the listening bar; Lorem Ipsum. Don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers while you’re there. Cheers!
